“Pour Les Enfants”, is Garth House’s main fundraiser each year. It is a fun evening of gourmet dinning provided by The Chef’s Association, live, and silent auctions with all proceeds used to run the programs on a daily basis. There will be a shopping day for Garth House at S&M and we will raffle a 2013,” Red Mustang Convertible” on the evening of the event. Garth House mission is to, “To prevent child abuse and neglect and to lessen the trauma to child victims of sexual and severe physical abuse during the investigative, prosecutorial and healing process.” Garth House provides the child victim a safe environment to tell their story. This years Chairmen are Brook Hall and Gina Hinson.
The Mickey Mehaffy Children's Advocacy Program opened in 1991.Garth House has facilitated over 10,000 victims and families. The video used by investigators, social services, and prosecution decreases the number of interviews to victims. We interview, provide free professional long-term counseling and provide Family Support Workers for child victims and non-offending family members.
