The SouthEast Texas Hike & Bike Coalition will sponsor a family oriented bicycle ride on March 17, 20126 at 8 AM. All routes will start at the Big Thicket Baptist Church (7 mi N of Kountze across from the Big Thicket Visitor Center) at US69/FM420. and are typical scenic South East Texas/Big Thicket country-side.
There are six courses 14 ,36, 46, 63 ,77,100 mile to accommodate all skill levels. We'll have manned rest stops w/ restrooms & snacks, and SAG support. After the ride, all paid participants will be treated to a BBQ dinner.
The natural terrain can be challenging. Routes will include the beautiful neighboring cities of Kountze, Warren, Hillister, Fred, Spurger, Silsbee, and Lumberton, all in or on the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve area.
